About Me

Hey there! My name is Chelsea. I am Registered Psychotherapist practicing in Kitchener, ON and virtually throughout Ontario.

For almost a decade, I've had the greatest privilege of working with people of all ages dealing with various mental health issues, addictions, and trauma. Before my journey as a psychotherapist began, I held various roles in community mental health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My desire to help others began with both personal and professional experiences that have shaped my understanding of resilience, healing, and the importance of mental health. Through my work in crisis intervention, inpatient care, community mental health, and psychotherapy, I’ve witnessed firsthand the amazing impact of connection and how support grounded in research can help people heal, grow, and discover their true self.

My Approach

I work with teens and adults who’ve been carrying more than they should have ever had to - people who have lived through things that changed how safe they feel in their own skin.
Sometimes it’s obvious trauma, and sometimes it’s the quiet kind: years of stress, pressure to hold it together, or being the one who always shows up for everyone else.

I help people who feel stuck in survival mode - anxious, disconnected, or exhausted - find ways to slow down and reconnect with themselves. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you; it’s about making sense of how you learned to protect yourself and finding new ways to feel safe, steady, and whole.

In our sessions, nothing has to be filtered or polished. You can show up exactly as you are - messy, unsure, funny, emotional, or quiet. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, and we’ll stay connected through every part of the process.

How I Work

My work is relational and trauma-informed, blending deep emotional processing with practical tools for stability and self-understanding. I draw from DBT, CBT, ACT, IFS, Polyvagal Theory, and attachment-focused therapy, but our relationship always comes first.

Together, we might work on understanding triggers and body responses, learning to regulate emotions, softening self-criticism, or reconnecting with parts of yourself that feel lost or guarded. Some days, that might look like grounding and building safety; other days, it might mean gently revisiting painful memories or exploring the stories that shaped how you see yourself.

I’m certified in DBT, ADHD clinical work, and trauma recovery, but what matters most to me isn’t the model - it’s helping you feel seen, understood, and supported.

Therapy with me is compassionate, curious, and real. My hope is that our work helps you feel more at home in your body, more connected to your emotions, and more confident in your ability to handle what life brings.
